Activate or deactivate a currency

Cimpl has over 160 available currencies that you can activate or deactivate for users. By activating a currency, users can use that currency to filter reports, dashboards and invoices. The currencies are uploaded using the ISO standard for the code and symbol.

Activate a currency:

1. Go to Configuration > System Preferences > Currency.
2. Scroll to find the currency you want to activate.
3. If you are looking for a specific currency, you can:
   • Search by Currency Code, Currency Name, Display Format.
     OR
   • Filter by Active or Inactive status.
4. Click the red icon on the currency entry record. A confirmation message appears.
5. Click OK. The currency is now available for users.

Deactivate a currency:

1. Go to Configuration > System Preferences > Currency.
2. Scroll to find the currency you want to deactivate.
3. If you are looking for a specific currency, you can:
   • Search by Currency Code, Currency Name, Display Format.
     OR
   • Filter by Active or Inactive status.
4. Click the green check mark icon on the currency entry record. A confirmation message appears.
5. Click OK. The currency is now deactivated.
