New Feature: Upland Assist

ComSci customers told us they appreciate the quality content in the Help Center and Customer Community, but don’t always know where to start. We heard you and developed a solution: Upland Assist for ComSci. Upland Assist is a single point of access for self-service and customer support directly within Upland ComSci. It provides enhanced support by delivering the following features in one seamless experience:

  • Help Center: Search and browse access to the Upland ComSci Help Center.

  • Community: Search and browse access to Support Knowledge content.

  • Contact Support: Ability to submit a support ticket.

How do I use this?

After Upland Assist for ComSci launches, when users click the question mark icon (?) from anywhere inside of ComSci , the new “Upland Assist” sidebar will open. From this sidebar, users can search by keywords and phrases to find articles from both the Help Center and Community—all in one place.

Search the Help Center using Upland Assist

  1. Click the (?) support icon on the header menu bar. Upland Assist opens.

  2. Enter search terms or phrases. The results update automatically.

  3. Click a result to open the article.

Enhancements

Administration

  • [ITFM-22781] Source Data Manager - The Decimal Allocation option has been added to the Allocation Values dropdown list to allow you to load allocation percentages as a decimal.

  • [ITFM-30772, 30776, 33312] The Analytics Field Usage page now displays as a grid. The following columns have been added: Created by, Dashboards, Filtered, Folder name, Modified by, Modified on, Pivoted and Pivoted On.

  • [ITFM-40139] Two new fields, process_id and cycle have been added to the sdi_info sys_process_offline_queue table to enhance recording.

Analytics

  • [ITFM-39927] The Count field has been added to the Bill of Services data source to allow you to view and edit the data.

Budgeting and Forecasting

    • [ITFM-45169] The History button has been renamed to Workflow History. When you click this button, all of the history related to the cost center displays.

    • [ITFM-45189] You are now able to search in the Line Items detail page.

    • [ITFM-45283] You are now able to multi sort in the Line Item detail page.

    Cloud Cost Management

    • Amazon Web Services (AWS CUR) Billing Connection Method has been updated to provide the most comprehensive set of cost and usage data available from AWS.

    General

    • [ITFM-35389] Styles have been updated to match the Upland style guidelines.

    • [ITFM-35939] The direction of the expand and collapse arrows have been modified; the up arrow expands content and the down arrow collapses content.

    • [ITFM-38481] To enhance performance, the STUFF command has been replaced with the STRING_AGG command. The following pages were modified:

    • [ITFM-37087] The Trunk Description field has been removed from the system.

    • [ITFM-37111] The Cisco Trunk Gateway page has been added to the Instant Access module to allow you to view and edit the data.

    • [ITFM-37105] The Trunks page has been added to the Instant Access module to allow you to view and edit the data.

    Inventory Manager

    • [ITFM-44853/44265] The Billable Start Date and Billable End Date fields have been added to Billing Inventory and Circuit Inventory to allow you to view and edit the data.

    • [ITFM-44847] The Circuit ID field has been added to the Circuit Charges page to allow you to view and edit the data.

    System Preferences

    • [ITFM-34372] The Client Defined Labels tab has been moved from Messages to Company Profile.

    SDI Catalog

    • [ITFM-45263] For the Financial Line Amount, the Load All option has been removed from the Duplicate Records dropdown menu.

    • [ITFM-45292] You can now upload and process GZ files as a compressed file.

    • [ITFM-41250] The SDI Exception Check Routine has been updated to exclude records with large values. When the number is out of range, the job status is Success with Out of Range as the reject reason.

    Service Cost Modeling

    • [ITFM-45099] In all areas of ComSci, the "ITCF" has been renamed to "Cost Pool. For instance, the ITCF Volumes page has been renamed to Cost Pool Volumes. Also, on the Products page, the ITCF Level field has been renamed to Cost Pool Level and the ITCF Parent Code has been renamed to Cost Pool Parent Code.

    Visual Modeling

    • [ITFM-44731] Caching has been enhanced when Analytics is opened after any changes in Visual Modeling.

    Resolved Issues

    • [ITFM-44188] You are now able to have the same column name on the Transaction file and lookup for easy set up.

    • [ITFM-44535] Forecast versions are now successfully created from actuals under Bill of Services.

    • [ITFM-44558] SDI is now accurately summarizing GL Line Item dollars from the SCI Logistics source file.

    • [ITFM-44826] The logo on the login screen displays correctly now.

    • [ITFM-44898] The MSKCC Daily Exception reports are now successfully being delivered via email.

    • [ITFM-44919] You are now able to successfully manually update records in Billing Inventory.

    • [ITFM-44974] The Circuit Charges sub-form within the Circuit Inventory form is now correctly displaying the client data value in Circuit ID field.

    • [ITFM-44994] You are now able to successfully process financial volume.

    • [ITFM-45024] Only the account lowest level is now being returned when searching in Billing Inventory.
