Manage Structure

Organization structure is where all applicable organization units (division and/or departments) as well as resource types (skill sets) within each unit are defined. The structure could represent your current “real” organization chart or could be a functional, value or service-line representation of your organization.

To manage organization structure

  1. On the left icon bar, click the Administration icon .
    The Administration page is displayed.

  1. Under Organization, click Structure.
    The Structure page is displayed.

  1. To insert an Organization Unit or Resource Type, click the arrow next to the Plus icon for the required category.
    A drop-down menu is displayed.

Note: You can click the Edit or Delete icons to modify/delete the required Organization Unit/Resource Type.

  1. Select Organization Unit (At Top), Organization Unit (At Bottom), Resource Type (At Top) or Resource Type (At Bottom) as required.
  2. In the Name field, type the name required.
  3. In the Initials field, type the initials related.

  1. Click Save.

Note: To re-order the structure, simply drag and drop each item under the right parent.

Note: You will only be able to delete items with no “children” underneath them, as well as resource types currently not being referenced on any schedule. In all other cases, you will receive a message notifying you that the selected item is currently being referenced. You will be prompted to confirm the delete action, after which the entry will be deleted and all references removed.

  • Custom searches and reports.
