Projects Overview

Projects are one of the key entities in Eclipse PPM. They make up the various portfolios and sub-portfolios and represent everything from a request or idea being considered through to the delivery of a product or service and tracking the benefits and outcomes of that initiative. Eclipse PPM can track projects through their entire life cycle, however you define that.

A project itself is made up of various components or data related to various knowledge areas. Eclipse gathers and tracks that information through a number of interfaces that group the data and features together logically. Projects can range from simple to complex and can be managed by one person or multiple individuals.
