Resource Plan Overview
The Resource Plan allows users to plan resource demand and effort at a project level without needing a full CPM schedule built. The Resource Plan could be used in the early stages of planning projects or on projects that simply do not have a CPM schedule. A project Resource Plan is used to describe the resource demand and effort on that project. A project has a single Resource Plan and revisions of the plan are saved on each save. When saved, a revision can be marked as the approved plan for the project
Approved Plan: The summary bar pulls data from the resource plan marked as approved on the project.
Current Plan: The summary bar pulls data from most recent changes on a resource plan of the project. Some changes may not be approved yet.
Work Plan: The summary bar pulls data from the current CPM schedule of the project.
The summary bars are drawn against a timeline. The timeline is based on the earliest "start" date of the three bars to the latest "end" date of the three bars. If only the Current Plan bar is drawn, the bar will take up the full width of the timeline.
Note: If the project contains no resource plan data, a message that says "This project had no resource plan data" will show instead of the summary bars.
