Upload to FileBound module

The Upload to FileBound module saves documents to a FileBound site. This module uploads newly added documents according to the mapping configured in the Map Data to Files module.

Configuration

Save Options: Determines how documents are uploaded and saved to a FileBound server. The following options are available:

  • New Files: Use this setting to create a new file within FileBound. If an existing file with the same index values exists, the imported document will merge into the existing file.

  • Find and/or Update Existing Files: Use this setting to search within FileBound using the selected Find fields and merge imported documents into existing files. Update will update files found with the selected updated values. If no file is found, a new file will be created and indexed with the imported indexes.

Do not create new File if Find Fields not match: Select this check box to prevent a new file from being created when there is no match found.

Update ALL found Files (No Document upload): Select this check box to update all found files, not just the first file returned. Documents will not be uploaded.

Find and Update the same Fields: Select this check box to update the same fields that you found on.

  • Other: An option in the advanced setup is selected.

Advanced

Advanced variables are part of the internal structure that makes Importer modules work. These do not generally need to be modified.

File Save Option: Determines how documents are uploaded and saved to a FileBound server. The following options are available:

  • Do Not Always Assume New File: Use this setting when uploading documents to a specified FileID or matching value. If the FileID is not specified, a new file will be created.

  • Do Not Save Files: Only documents will be added.

  • Do Not Seek File Merges: When file information is imported, FileBound will not be searched to determine if the file exists. Importer will automatically create a new file and will not merge files with identical indexes.

  • Data Connector: File information will be added directly to the FileBound database. No security will be applied and workflow actions will not be enacted if being used. Imported documents will be added directly to the FileBound document storage location.
