Global search

The global search allows you to search across all FileBound projects with one query. A System Administrator determines what content is searched during a global search by selecting an option in Main Options - Global Search.

Note: On-premise customers will need to use the Global Search Indexer to keep data for global search up-to-date.

1. In the header, click Search.

2. Enter search criteria, then click Search.

   

The search results page is displayed matching the search criteria. Search results will either be a file or a document. A file result will look like this: 

And a document result will look like this:

Filter global search results

Filters, on the right side of the global search results, can be used to make it easier to locate results in specific projects, files, or documents.

1. Click a filter to refine the search results.

   

   Click Clear Filters to remove all filters.
