InterFAX integration

The InterFAX integration allows you view faxes, both sent and received, directly from Intelligent Capture.

InterFAX will only be available in the Navigation Menu if the InterFAX integration has been enabled for your account and you are assigned to a role that has permission to the integration. See Integrated applications for more information.

Once the integration is enabled, you must enter your InterFAX credentials under the option in your Profile Menu in order to populate your account. See Profile Menu for more information.

Archive a fax

Owners of a fax, and users with ‘Can view and edit’ share permissions can archive faxes to hide them from users queues. Once hidden, users can use the Advanced Search in InterFAX to view archived faxes and use the link to return them to the Inbox.

  1. Click the three dots next to the fax you want to archive, then select Archive from the drop-down menu. Or, select the check box next to one or multiple faxes, then click Archive.

The InterFAX Inbox works very similar to how an email Inbox works in terms of read and unread faxes. The date and details for new faxes are displayed in bold. You can acknowledge faxes by marking them as read. Once marked as read, they will no longer be displayed in bold.

To mark a fax as read:

  1. Click the three dots next to the unread fax you want to mark as read, then select Mark Read from the drop-down menu. Or, select the check box next to an unread fax, then click Mark Read.

To mark a fax as unread:

  1. Click the three dots next to the read fax you want to mark as unread, then select Mark Unread from the drop-down menu. Or, select the check box next to a read fax, then click Mark Unread.

Hide a fax

Users with View permissions for a fax can hide that fax from their queues. Hiding a fax removes it from that user’s queues only. All other users with sharing permissions can still see the fax in their queues.

After hiding a fax, you cannot use search to find the fax because you no longer share the fax. To view the fax, you will need to ask the fax owner to share it with you again.

  1. Click the three dots next to the fax you want to hide, then select Hide from the drop-down menu. Or, select the check box next to a fax, then click Hide.
