Configure a Fax Importer
The Fax importer watches a CloudFAX account and automatically imports inbound faxes into Intelligent Capture. Once imported, the documents will travel down the workflow specified during configuration. The importer checks for new faxes every minute.
- Enter the username and password used to access the CloudFAX account in the Username and Password boxes.
- For CloudFAX accounts with an Account Layer, select the Receive faxes for all account users check box to import inbound faxes for each user underneath the configured account. When not selected, only faxes for the user that owns the configured account will be imported.

Click Test Connection to ensure that the connection is configured properly.
- Click Save.
Fax importer metadata
The following information is captured from inbound faxes when using a fax importer. These values can be used in fields where Data field substitution is supported.
Values can also be saved to data fields by adding text type data fields with the metadata name as the name. For example, you may use @UserName as the name with a display name of "User Name".
