IP Access Control

Account Managers can add IP address ranges to restrict access to an account. The access restrictions also apply to the InterFAX API web service.

To manage IP address ranges, log into InterFAX as an Account Manager. In the Navigation Menu, click Settings, then click IP Access Control.

From the IP Access Control page, you can:

Add an IP address range

View or edit IP address range properties

Delete an IP address range

 

Add an IP address range

Caution: Make sure to allow your own IP address first, otherwise you will lock yourself out of your InterFAX account.

  1. Click New...

  2. In the Name box, enter a name for the IP address range.
  3. To allow access from a single IP address, type the same IP address in the From IP Address and the To IP Address boxes. For example: From IP Address – 62.219.162.162, To IP Address – 62.219.162.162.
  4. To allow access from a range of IP addresses, type the lower IP address in the From IP Address box and the higher IP address into the To IP Address box. For example: From IP Address – 62.219.62.54, To IP Address – 62.219.62.58.

  5. Click Save.

View or edit IP address range properties

In IP Address Range Properties, you can rename the IP address range and modify the allowed IP addresses.

  1. Click the three dots next to the IP address range you want to view properties for, then select Properties from the drop-down menu. Or, click the name of the IP address range you want to view properties for.

  2. Modify IP address range properties as needed, then click Save.

Delete an IP address range

  1. Click the three dots next to the IP address range you want to delete, then select Delete from the drop-down menu. Or, select the check box next to one or multiple IP address ranges, then click Delete.
