FAQ-1397: Error - Virtual Memory Error (Error -8993)

Description

The PrintMonitor generates a 'Virtual Memory Error (Error -8993) alert or PrintShop Mail generates a PostScript Error alert at printing a document using the Optimized PostScript (Forms) method.

The internal memory of your printer (the cache size) is not sufficient to store the data it receives.

The Solution

1. If your printer has a harddisk, activate the "Use Printer's File System" option
2. Increase the cache size specified in the "Preferences" window.
