What are the requirements to run DirectSmile with PrintShop Mail?
Since June 1, 2008, PrintShop Mail 6.1 is shipped with a DirectSmile promotion package. For those people who want to know more about the system requirements for this solution, this document is intended to give you that information.
DirectSmile Promotion
PrintShop Mail 6.1 for Windows will be delivered with a DirectSmile promotion package that includes:
1) DirectSmile Creator Pro CD
2) Limited DirectSmile dongle (250 Smilys)
3) OL brochure about the features
To make this working properly there are some hardware requirements you should be aware of. There is also a description of the requirements inside the DirectSmile CD Box.
Dongle
PrintShop Mail requires a PrintShop Mail dongle (license) to remove the watermark. The same counts for the DirectSmile software, they require an own DirectSmile dongle. There is no relation between the two dongles. So you can use a production dongle of PrintShop Mail with a limited DirectSmile dongle and you can use a limited dongle of PrintShop Mail with an unlimited DirectSmile dongle.
Production
It is required to install DirectSmile on a separate computer than the one where PrintShop Mail is installed, in order to spread computer resources. Running production on a single computer may lead to connection issues between PrintShop Mail and DirectSmile.
