Designer basics

With the Designer you can create templates for personalized communications, and generate output from them.

These are the basic steps for creating and developing a template:

1. Create a template
   Create a template, using one of the Template Wizards. See Creating a template.

2. Fill the template
   Add text, images and other elements to the template, and personalize and style them. See:

   • Content elements

   • Personalizing content

   • Styling and formatting

   For most templates, an address block will be your starting point. See Address Block.

3. Generate output
   Adjust the settings, test the template and generate output. See Generating Print output.
