Load a Search Profile

This procedure describes how to switch to another search profile during a OL Connect Search session. Recall that you can have a single search profile loaded at any one time in OL Connect Search. When you switch search profiles, OL Connect Search replaces the currently loaded search profile with the one you select.

To switch search profiles during a OL Connect Search session, do one of the following:

• If the search profile to which you want to switch is among the last five loaded, choose File and choose that profile in the list of recently used search profiles that appears below the Save As menu item.

• Choose File | Open, and in the Open Profile/Database dialog box that appears, navigate to the search profile you want to load and click Open.

  OL Connect Search replaces the currently loaded search profile with the search profile you selected. The name of newly loaded search profile now appears as the topmost item in the list of recently used search profiles in the OL Connect Search File menu.

  Note: If OL Connect Search cannot establish the connection to the database specified in the profile, it displays an error message. Click OK to return to the OL Connect Search Program window.
