Optimized PostScript caches image data in reusable PostScript forms. This speeds up the printing process, since each unique image is only sent once.
Some printer drivers offer the possibility to change the PostScript Output Options: "Optimize for Speed" or " Optimize for Portability". For a maximum print speed, change the PostScript Output Option to "Optimize for Speed". You can find this property in the Printer driver/Advanced Options.
