Access and Manage Questions

The Questions tab of the Inbox displays items that need action from you. This could be gate approval request or a work delegation. When you receive a question you must take action on it in order for it to be dismissed. The following types of questions are generated in PowerSteering:

  • Discussion Item Delegation
  • Document Approval
  • Due Date
  • Gate Approval
  • Mass Work Delegation
  • Measure Delegation
  • Metric Delegation
  • Milestone Due Date
  • Team Member Assignment
  • Work Delegation

1. Click View All Messages

Click View All Messages

  • In the PowerSteering header, click the Inbox button, then click View All Messages.

Note: Users can also answer questions directly on the Inbox drop-down. The user's ten most recent Inbox alerts, notifications, questions, and status reports due will appear in the drop-down.

2. Click Questions Tab

  • Click the Questions tab.

3. Click Collapse/Expand

  • Click Collapse/Expand next to the question you want to answer.

4. Click Accept or Reject

  1. Enter a comment (optional).
  2. Click Accept or Reject.

Note: The user that requested action will receive a notification in their Inbox that their request has been answered.  

Note: Depending on your configuration you may also receive emails reminding you that a question is awaiting an answer. If a question is not answered, the Questions Reminder agent will generate a reminder message at the configured timing interval.

The question will be grayed out, but will remain on the Questions tab for 5 days after being answered.
