Summary Page Overview

Every work object in PowerSteering has a Summary page that provides a top-level view of all important work information on a single screen. The Summary page is composed of collapsible modules containing horizontal sections called widgets. Users can rearrange and collapse/expand modules in order to view work information according to their preferences. See Rearrange Modules on the Summary Page for more information.

Note: The order and appearance of modules on the Summary page is persisted at the user level by object type. When a user navigates away from the Summary page or logs out of PowerSteering, Summary page modules will remain in the order set by the user for all work items originating from that object type. Additionally, modules that were collapsed or expanded will remain so.

The Summary Page

The Summary page is where a user can go to view all important project details on a single page. Below is a description of each component of the Summary page.

Progress Bar (For Gated Projects Only): This is a horizontal display of all of the phases in a project and the status of each. Completed phases display as a link which, when clicked on, re-activates that phase and resets the status of all subsequent phases to Not Started.

Active Phase Information (For Gated Projects Only): The status of the active phase and phase conditions are displayed here. Conditions must be met before approval can be requested. Examples of a condition include the completion of a required deliverable, having to lock a metric or populating a field in the Edit Details section.

Project Header: Project details, such as owner, status, and Start/End date are located near the top of the page.

Note: The Project Header will only display one date as the Start/End date. Based on availability, the priority that determines the displayed date is as follows: Actual End date, Planned/Constraint End date, Actual Start date, Planned/Constraint Start date, System Start date.

Standard Details: This section displays project details, such as configuration details, team members, and schedule information. Data is organized into horizontal sections called widgets which can be collapsed and expanded. Widgets in the Standard Details section cannot be renamed. Collapse or expand the Standard Details section by clicking the arrow next to the name.

Custom Details: This section displays tags and custom fields associated with the work. Data is organized into horizontal sections called widgets which can be collapsed and expanded. Widget names and containing information reflect groups created in Field Management. Widgets are displayed top-to-bottom, and then left-to-right in three columns on the Summary page following the order set in Field Management. See Custom Details Widget Order for more information. Collapse or expand the Custom Details section by clicking the arrow next to the name.

Note: If a tag and/or custom field does not belong to a group in Field Management, it will be appear as a separate widget; therefore, it is recommended that all tags and custom fields are part of a group. See Add Grouping for detailed information about groupings.

The remainder of the Summary page is a compilation of collapsible sections that may or may not appear on the page based on your company's configuration and your user permissions.
