Estimated Costs are the forecasted expenses for a work item. They often include the planned costs of materials/equipment and projected Resource effort (see estimated labor costs). These costs answer the question, "What do we expect this project to cost?"
Note: To see the Estimated Costs page, "Control Cost" must be enabled from the work item's Standard Details. Additionally, users require the "View Costs" Project Task permission on the work item to view the page.
Note: Estimated labor costs are not reflected and/or calculated on the Estimated Costs page when the work item's status is "Completed". For all other statuses, labor costs are calculated as expected.
