Edit a Status Report

Status reports can be edited if they are not declined or past the number of days allowed by the grace period. Unscheduled reports can also be edited.

Note: PowerSteering users with the "Administer Status Reports" Project Task permission can edit a Status Report outside of its grace period.

Note: Make sure that Status Report Frequency is not set to "Off" in Project Configuration.

To edit a Status Report:

  1. Navigate to a Project.

  2. Scroll down to the "Status Reports" module:

Note: Status Reports can also be accessed by selecting Status Reports from the "Project" menu:

  3. Select Edit from the "Actions" drop-down menu of a Status Report:

  4. Edit the Status Report details to your liking:

    a. Include gate statuses in the status report: Select this checkbox if you would like the statuses of any Project gates to be included in the Status Report.

    b. Override Alert Settings: Determine who should be notified of the edits made to the Status Report:

    • Yes: The role-based Alert Subscriptions will be overwritten and a custom set of roles will be notified of the edits. This will open up a "Who should be notified" drop-down menu that allows you to select the roles that should receive alerts:

    • No: The role-based Alert Subscriptions will determine which roles receive notifications of the edits.

Note: The default option is always "No". If edits have been made to a Status Report with "Yes" chosen, the default selection will still be "No" the next time edits are made to the report.

    c. Preparation: Edit the "Preparation" fields; these fields evaluate how well this Project has been maintained:

    • Project Maintenance for Status Report: This drop-down menu includes a list of Project maintenance tasks. Selecting the checkbox of these tasks indicates that the task has been completed for the Status Report. The Project Manager will confirm this by signing of on the Status Report.

    • Project Synopsis: Use this text box to leave a comment about the Project for management review.

    d. Complete if not on track: If the status is not On Track, this section should be filled out:

    • Explanation of Status (if other than On Track): Use this text box to explain why the Project is not On Track.

    • Mitigation of Status (if other than On Track): Use this text box to explain what will be done to get the Project back On Track.

    • Expected Date "Back On Track": Use the calendar to select a date when the Project should be back On Track.

(Not Pictured) Custom Fields: PowerSteering administrators can add Custom Fields to Status Reports that can also be filled out as part of the report.

  5. Click the Save button to finalize your changes.

After clicking Save, a green banner should appear to indicate that your Status Report has been successfully edited:
