Grant Right to Announcement Notifications

The Announcement Notifications security permission with View/Modify/Create/Delete rights can be granted from the Setup > Collaboration menu of a Security Profile edit page. These permissions allows you to control the ability to create and manage Announcement Notifications.

This article details how to grant the ability to o create manage Announcement Notifications.

Note: By default the Announcement Notifications security permission is only enabled for the Administrator Security Profile.

1. From the Icon Bar click Setup .
2. From the Navigation Menu click Organization.
3. From the menu click System.
4. From the System page click the Security button to access the Security setup page.

   

5. Click the expand button () located against a User Security Role Placeholder, if applicable to view the available Security Roles.
6. Select a Security Profile.

   

7. Upon the Security Profile page displaying, expand the Setup menu.
8. From the available menu items select Collaboration.
9. Depending on your requirement select the required Modify/Create/Delete permission(s) for the Announcement Notifications rights.
   1. Select the View right to allow users to view the list of Announcement Notifications.
   2. Select the Edit right to allow users to modify Announcement Notifications.
   3. Select the Create right to allow users to create Announcement Notifications.
   4. Select the Delete right to allow users to delete Announcement Notifications.
10. Select Save.

    

11. View the Impact of your changes for:
    1. The Announcement Notifications option will be unavailable to Users without any permission to the Announcement Notifications.

       

    2. Users with View permission:
       1. Can access and view the list of Announcement Notifications.
       2. Cannot create or modify Announcement Notifications.

       

    3. Users with View and Modify permissions:
       1. Can access and view/modify existing Announcement Notifications.
       2. Cannot create new Announcement Notifications.
       3. Cannot delete existing Announcement Notifications.

       

    4. Users with View/Modify and Create permissions:
       1. Can Access and view/modify existing Announcement Notifications.
       2. Can create new Announcement Notifications.
       3. Cannot delete existing Announcement Notifications.

       

    5. Users with View/Modify/Create and Delete permissions:
       1. Can access and view/modify existing Announcement Notifications.
       2. Can create new Announcement Notifications.
       3. Can delete existing Announcement Notifications.
