Defaults Setup (OBS)

The default values of most of the important organization elements in the application are defined on the Defaults page. Defaults refer to the predetermined values used for various fields when objects are being created or edited. You may choose to change the default values when the fields are being defined or edited. However, the boxes are filled in with the default values selected on this page for your convenience.

The articles details how to access the OBS System Defaults page and the configuration options available to you.

  1. From the Icon Bar click Setup .
  2. From the Navigation Menu click Organization.
  3. From the menu click System.
  4. From the System page click the System Setup button to access the System Setup page.
  5. Upon the System Setup page displaying, select the Defaults button.
  6. Click the System Setup button.
  7. Upon the Defaults page loading , the following options are available: Site, Group, Team, User, User Resource Type, Title, Class, Business Unit and Role.
  8. For each box, there is a Browse... button which, when clicked, brings up a list of all existing options.

    Note: Suspended Groups are hidden by default on the Groups List page, allowing you to focus on active groups. If needed, you can check the Show Suspended Groups box to display the suspended Groups.

  9. Select the desired option from their respective list pages.
  10. When finished, click Save, and then Back.
