System Requirements (2025 R2.0)

This guide lists the server software and hardware requirements for installing and running the PSA software version 2025 R2.0 only.

This Guide does not support or include instructions on how to install/configure or gather hardware requirements for any previous version of the PSA software.

Note: Additional software (such as MS SQL Server, Reporting Services) might have their own software/hardware requirements which are not further described in this section. Please contact the respective vendors if you need further information for a specific tool.

PSA server system requirements

PSA server software requires the following tools, runtimes and dependencies to run properly:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Standard or Data Center
  • Windows Installer 3.0 or higher
  • Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.8
  • Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.8 Redistributable Package
  • Microsoft SQL 2019 and System CLR Types
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Native Client
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Management Objects
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Management Objects

Note: The listed components are mandatory for the successful installation of the PSA application depending on the operating or the version of SQL you use. The installation process verifies the minimum requirements and automatically installs any missing component.

Database Server Requirement

PSA requires a Database Management System (DBMS) to operate. The PSA application supports the following Microsoft SQL Server version:

  • SQL Server 2019

Operating System Requirements

PSA Server can be installed on the following operating system:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022 version for the Application Server and Database Server

Web Server Requirements

PSA requires Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7.0 or higher (IIS versions controlled by the operating system used, please refer to Operating System Requirements for further details).

Note:

  • The HTTP Activation Under WCF Services must be enabled.
  • A localhost-level application/json MIME Type with Extension "." must exist.
  • The following Common HTTP Features must be installed: Default Document, Directory Browsing, HTTP Errors and Static Content.

Minimum Hardware Requirement Recommendations

This section lists the minimum recommended hardware requirements for running the PSA application.

Web Server:

  • Windows 2022
  • Single Processor: Intel or AMD with at least a quad core processor
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Disk Space: 1 GB

Database Server:

  • Windows 2022
  • SQL Server 2019 Standard Edition
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Disk space: 200 GB (Initial reference recommendation and dependent on the database usage as well as growth rate).
