Default Home Page

This is where you go to manage the panels and their controls and how you want them to display on the default Home page for all new Upland Qvidian users or ProSearch users. Users can also customize their own Home page.

Note: Any default settings an Administrator makes will only display for new users who have not yet customized their Home page. Once customization occurs, any changes an Administrator makes to the default settings will not affect users who have customized. The only effect an Administrator can make to a customized user’s Home page is to add or remove an Application Permission related to a work flow or quick link control.

• From the drop-down at the top of the workspace, select which Home page you are setting up: either the Fully-licensed Home page (Upland Qvidian users) or the ProSearch Home page. The Workflow Controls and Quick Link Controls will display accordingly. If you selected ProSearch Home page, a subset of controls will be available.

Set up the Home page panels

What Do You Want To Do?

This panel can contain one or more Workflow Controls.

• To add a control from the Workflow Controls list in the Additional Panels area on the right to this Home page panel, click the Add link below the control. The control is moved from the list to the panel.
• To remove a control from the Home page panel, click the Remove link below the control. The control is moved from the panel to the list.

News Feed

This panel contains any new and announcement items previously created.

• To remove this panel and all feeds from the default Home page, click the Remove link. The panel is collapsed and moved under the Additional Panels area.
• To add this panel to the default Home page, click the Add link in the collapsed pane.

Quick Links

This panel can contain one or more Quick Link Controls.

• To add a control from the Quick Link Controls list in the Additional Panels area on the right to this Home page panel, click the Add link below the control. The control is moved from the list to the panel.
• To remove a control from the Home page panel, click the Remove link below the control. The control is moved from the panel to the list.

Rearrange the Home page panels

You can change the location where the What Do You Want To Do? panel, the Quick Links panel, and the News Feeds panel display on the default Home page.

• Hover over the Home Page drag icon, click, and drag and drop the panel where you want it to display on the Home page.

Preview the Home page

When you have finished setting up the default Home page, you can preview it before saving your changes.

• Click Preview to view the layout, and, when completed, close the Preview page.

Reset your Home page panels and controls

• To reset the default Home page to the out-of-box configuration established by Upland Qvidian, click Reset.

Save

• When you are finished setting up the default Home page, click Save. The changes will be reflected on each user's Home page unless they have customized it.
