Install the Upland Qvidian Integration Package
Salesforce provides customer relationship management capabilities so that customers can administer sales information. At various stages throughout the sales process, documents must be produced to aid in the sale. These documents range from letters, to RFPs, proposals, and presentations. Enabling Salesforce integration with Upland Qvidian provides users with the functionality to create documents and projects in Upland Qvidian, populate data from Salesforce automatically, and access links to Upland Qvidian built documents, packages, and related information in Salesforce. Data can be modified within Upland Qvidian or Salesforce. After the initial document has been created, this data will continue to require synchronization.
Caution: Users must upgrade their Qvidian Salesforce Package prior to the Salesforce Summer '23 release. For more information, see the Salesforce Help and Training Community.
Requirements
A password is required to install the package. The password was sent to you via email by Upland Qvidian. If you have not received it, please contact your Customer Success Manager. The person who performs this installation for your organization must be a Salesforce Administrator.
To successfully integrate Upland Qvidian and Salesforce.com:
- Both a working implementation of Upland Qvidian and configured Salesforce organization are required.
- End users who are expected to use the integration must have access to both web applications.
- User logins must be identical when connecting to Upland Qvidian from Salesforce using the session ID. It is recommended that you use the same email address as your login for both systems.
- The same client PC requirements for Upland Qvidian are required for Salesforce Integration.
- Although not required, it is highly recommended to configure both Upland Qvidian and Salesforce to be in the same security zone. Upland Qvidian is typically configured to be in the "Trusted Sites" zone. If Salesforce is not in the same security zone, users will be warned when they try to access content from a different security zone.
Tip: To avoid the warnings, users should add both https://*.Salesforce
