Cancel a checked out content record
When you edit a content record, it is checked out and cannot be edited by another user until you upload the revised file or cancel the checkout. In the library, the blue checkmark in the Status column of the grid view or the icon on the Summary Details panel marks the record as checked out. Users are still able to view and use the content. Users may still edit content currently under review, but will receive the following warning when they attempt to edit such content. "This content is currently under review. Any changes you make will be overwritten if the content is approved. Are you sure you want to edit?"
Example: You may wish to hide the record if it contains information that should not be given to clients, for example an outdated price list. To hide checked-out content while you edit using the Advanced Edit, Download to Edit (ZIP) or Edit each record individually, select the "Disable content while checked out" checkbox in the Edit Content dialog.
