Assigning Dashboards
The Security button enables you to assign a dashboard to Users, Groups, or Security Profiles.

To assign a dashboard:

• On the Dashboard Edit screen, click the Security button to open the Dashboard Assignment screen.
• On the right side of the Dashboard Assignment screen, the Assign to drop-down list selects the way you wish to assign a dashboard.
• Select one of the options available: Users, Groups or Security Profiles.
• Depending on what you have selected from the Assign to drop-down list, the list boxes appearing on the Dashboard Assignment screen change accordingly.
• Select the objects in the left list box, and then click the Add button to move them to the right list box.
• Click Close when done. The dashboard is assigned to the selected users, groups, or security profiles.

Designing a Dashboard
The Design link (located on the Dashboard Edit screen) enables you to design the dashboard with the help of web parts. Clicking the Design link opens the Dashboard Design screen.

There are four main links on the top of the screen:

• Close: This link closes the Dashboard Design screen.
• Browse: This link views the dashboard in the Browse Mode. The Browse Mode previews how the dashboard appear after you finish designing.
• Design: This link views the dashboard in the Design Mode. Design Mode enables you to select the web parts from the Catalog zone, and add them to the various dashboard zones. It also enables you to set the properties of the web parts. For more information on how to select and set the properties of web parts, see Selecting and Editing Web Parts.
• Apply changes to all: If you are modifying an existing dashboard, click this link to apply the changes to all users, groups or security profiles assigned to the dashboard you are modifying. Note that when the changes are applied, all previously personalized dashboards for users are overridden.
