Entries > Timesheet Manager [Permission required]

The Timesheet Manager sets up a view for the user with the role of the Timesheet Manager, where managers are able to examine, accept or reject one or more timesheets.

If you are on the My Timesheet page and have Timesheet Administrator privileges, you do not see the Reject and Approve links. In this case, to perform Timesheet Administrator functions, you need to be on the Timesheet Manager page.

Timesheet Manager Default Approval Template
Timesheet managers have the choice of viewing timesheets as either the Timesheet Administrator or as the Originator (in the case where it is their own timesheet): for clarification, see table below.

View [this sorted sub-group of timesheets], from View pull-down menu by:

  • Assigned Timesheets (assigned to Timesheet manager)
  • All My Subordinates (every employee who is a reportable to you, for many levels downwards)
  • Assigned Timesheets With Billable Time
  • Faulted Timesheet Templates
  • Timesheet Administrator (your own submitted timesheet)
  • My Direct Subordinates (those employees who are direct reports to you)

The user cannot delete the out of the box templates or create new ones.
Clicking a template name opens the Approval Template Edit page.

  • Name: Name of the template. Required field. The user can update this field. The Name column displays None when there are no assignments of that type. It displays up to three assigned objects followed by "…" when there are further assignments.
  • Id: Id of the approval template
  • Is default: Defines whether the template is the default approval template. All users having Timesheet Manager/Administrator rights have access to the default template. This template is the one displayed when the user visits the Timesheet Manager page.
  • Description: Description of the template
  • Assignments: The assignments grid defines who can see the template from the timesheet manager.
  • The Assign To column displays all possible object types to which templates can be assigned (group, resource type, security profile, site, team, title, user). The object type is displayed as a link.

Available as of Tenrox 2013 R1 Option of Multiple Approvers for Timesheet

Allows the assigning of multiple Timesheet Approvers through the Group component, enabling sharing the task of approving Timesheets.
Addition of View option on Timesheet Manager for these Users.
For more information see Group Setup: Creating a New Group and Workflow Setup: Creating the States and Transitions for the Workflows.

On the Timesheet Manager screen, available for the Assigned Timesheets View is the As option Group Approver.

Note: Users who are assigned this State see the Timesheets they are assigned to as a Group Approver.
