Setting Up Scopes and Contacts for Clients

Setting up Scopes for Clients
The scopes feature enables you to assign sites where the client has access.

To associate scopes to clients:
Setup > Work > Clients > Client Edit > Associated Sites

Click Scope on the Client Edit screen.

  • The Associated Sites screen appears. Select the check boxes next to the sites located in the Sites List box, and use the right arrow button to move them to the Associated Sites List box.
  • Click Close when done.

Setting up Contacts for Clients
To create contacts for clients:
Setup > Work > Clients > Client Edit > Contact List > Contact Edit

  • Click Contacts on the Client Edit screen. This opens the Contact List screen.
  • Click New beside the Contact Name column; the Contact Edit screen opens.
  • Enter the name and address information.
  • In the Lead Source and Language drop-down lists, select one of the options available.
  • Select the Email Opt Out check box if do not want to send mass emails to the contact.
  • In the Contact Type section select the type of relation the contact has with the organization.

You have five choices: Approval, Billing, Work Processes, Shipping and Purchasing. Click Next.

  • Fill in such informational fields as Last name, Title and Division for the client in the textbox.
  • Enter the extension telephone number of the contact person in the Ext. text box.
  • In the Email field, enter the email address of the client. By clicking the Email field, you can send the client an email.
  • Select the Can Logon check box if the contact can logon to the application. Enter the information in the Security Information section.
  • Select a security role from the drop-down list and enter the appropriate logon information. Refer to the Notes section, while setting up the password for the new contact.
  • In the Access Rights section, select Override Access check box to override access rights for the role selected in the Security Role field.
  • If you want to allow the contact person to view all projects in the organization, select the Can view all Projects check box and select the projects by clicking Project.
  • Click Finish, and then Close.
