Create a database connection
The Database Connection page displays information for the database(s) that you are connect to.
To create a database connection:
- Do one of the following:
- Click Analytics Settings on the Main Menu bar and then select Database Connections from the menu.
- Click on the Icon bar. Click the Analytics Configuration drop-down arrow and then click Database Connections. This option is available only to Administrators.
The Database Connections page displays a list of all available database connections.
- Click New.
- In the Name field, type a name for the database connection.
- In the DB Engine field, click the SQL Server button.
- In the Server Name field, type the name of the server.
- In the DB Name field, type the name of the database.
- Optional: Click Test Connection. The color on the button changes to indicate the status of the connection as follows:
- Green: The database is connected.
- Red: The database is not connected.
- Yellow: The database is being created.
- Click one of the following:
- Save to save the new database connection and return to the list of database connections.
- Save & Add New to save the new database connection and create a new one.
