Create a database connection

The Database Connection page displays information for the database(s) that you are connect to.

To create a database connection:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click Analytics Settings on the Main Menu bar and then select Database Connections from the menu.
    • Click on the Icon bar. Click the Analytics Configuration drop-down arrow and then click Database Connections. This option is available only to Administrators.
  2. The Database Connections page displays a list of all available database connections.

  1. Click New.
  2. In the Name field, type a name for the database connection.
  3. In the DB Engine field, click the SQL Server button.
  4. In the Server Name field, type the name of the server.
  5. In the DB Name field, type the name of the database.
  6. Optional: Click Test Connection. The color on the button changes to indicate the status of the connection as follows:
    • Green: The database is connected.
    • Red: The database is not connected.
    • Yellow: The database is being created.
  7. Click one of the following:
    • Save to save the new database connection and return to the list of database connections.
    • Save & Add New to save the new database connection and create a new one.
