About FaxCenter Routing Component

The FaxCenter Routing component holds faxes that have been routed to FaxCenter. Until a FaxCenter user routes the fax to its final destination, the fax remains in the FaxCenter Routing component.

You can have only one instance of this component. You cannot modify its settings.

Understanding Job ID numbers

Depending on whether a FaxCenter user modifies an inbound fax before routing it to its final destination, the Upland AccuRouteserver might assign a new Job ID to the fax on the server.

When the server process an inbound fax and routes it to FaxCenter, it assigns a Job ID number to the fax. Then:

  • If the FaxCenter user modifies the fax in any way and routes it to its final destination, the server generates a notification message and sends it to the fax recipient. Also, the server assigns a Job ID number to the notification message, and a new Job ID number to the modified fax.

Note: The original fax and the modified fax have different Job ID numbers. These two items are unique on the server. As an administrative user, you can find either fax using the Server Administrator.

  • If the FaxCenter user routes an original fax to its final destination, the server generates a notification message and sends it to the fax recipient. Also, the server assigns a Job ID number to the notification message, but does not assign a new Job ID number to the fax.

Accessing the FaxCenter Routing component

To access the FaxCenter Routing component

  1. Start the Server Administrator.
    On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  2. On the console, expand the Server Administrator tree.

  3. Double-click Components. The Components are listed in the details pane.

  4. Click FaxCenter Routing to open the Properties dialog box.
