Adding an Exchange Connector

You can add an Exchange connector by using the Server Administrator > Connectors node.

For Exchange 2000/2003

To add an Exchange connector for Exchange 2000/2003

Note: When you complete the following procedure, the connector is enabled, but it will require additional configuration for your messaging environment.

  1. On the console, expand the Server Administrator tree.
  2. Start the Server Administrator.
    On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.
  3. Right-click Connectors. Select New AccuRoute Server connector > Exchange. The License  dialog box appears.

  4. Type a valid license and click Next. The Server Address dialog box appears.

  5. Click Next. The Display Name dialog box appears.

    Alternately, if you want the connector to run on a remote server, click Remote Server and type the server name. Click Next.

  6. Type a descriptive name and click Next. The Exchange Server dialog box appears.

  7. In the Specify Exchange Server text box, type the machine name or the IP address of the Exchange Server and click Next. The Exchange Version dialog box appears.

  8. Select Exchange 2000 or Exchange 2003.

  9. Click Next. The Address Scope dialog box appears.

  10. Select Organization if you want all users in the Exchange organization to be able to send messages through the server, or select Routing Group if you want only users in the Exchange site you specified to be able to send messages through the server.

  11. Click Next. The Lookup Authentication dialog box appears.

  12. Type the logon credentials associated with the lookup user account in the Username and Password text boxes and click Next. The Congratulations dialog box appears.

Note: Anonymous lookups are not supported in Exchange 2003.

  1. Click Finish. The connector is listed in the Connectors details pane.

For Exchange 2007

To add an Exchange connector for Exchange 2007

  1. Start the Server Administrator.
    On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  2. On the console, expand the Server Administrator tree.

  3. Right-click Connectors. Select New AccuRoute Server connector > ExchangeX. The License  dialog box appears.

  4. Type a valid license and click Next. The Server Address dialog box appears.

  5. Select the Run on the Message Server option and click Next. The Display Name dialog box appears.

  6. In the Name text box, type a friendly name for the connector and click Next. The Connector folder dialog box appears.

  7. In the Specify a folder to scan text box, browse and select the folder for the connector to scan and click Next. The Lookup Connection dialog box appears.

Note: The folder you select is the drop directory specified when creating the foreign connector using the Exchange 2007 Management Shell. For information on drop directory and foreign connectors, consult Microsoft documentation at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996779.aspx.

  1. Verify the Host Name and Search Base for the lookup connection and click Next. The Lookup Authentication dialog box appears.

Note: The Host Name is the Active Directory server.

  1. In the Username and Password text boxes, type the logon credentials associated with the lookup user account and click Next. The Congratulations dialog box appears.

  2. Click Finish. The connector is listed in the Connectors details pane.
