Using WebApps Custom Address Book

WebApps users can use the custom Address Book to create distributions, search, view, add, remove, and edit address book entries.

Creating Distributions

WebApps users can create distributions by using the WebApps > Create Distributions tile on the home page.

To create a distribution

  1. Type the WebApps URL in your browser’s address bar and press Enter, if necessary.

  2. Select Create Distribution. The Create Distribution page appears.

  3. Specify the following parameters.

    • Destination – See Search, View, Add, Remove and Edit Address book entries for more information.

      • Use the Address Book icon on the Destinations box to start your search.

    • Subject

    • Attachments

    • Comments

    • Email Copy as BCC Recipient

Searching Address Book

You can search the Address Book by using the Destinations > Address Book icon on the Create Distributions page.

To search the Address Book

  1. Click the Address Book icon next to the Add Destination (+) icon. The Address Book dialog box appears.

Note: The Address Books shows the number of selected entries in the title area.

  1. Type your criteria in the Search box. The Address Book is filtered based on the criteria you specified.

Viewing Address Book entries

The Address Book shows a maximum of 50 entries by default.

To view more Address Book entries

  • Scroll to the bottom of the list and select Load more entries, if necessary.

Adding Address Book entries

  1. Select the Add (+) icon next to the Address Book entry to add it to the Destinations box.

  2. Select additional Address Book entries until you are done.

Note: The selected entries appear in the To box and the Add icon changes to a Remove (-) icon. The Add icon is a toggle key that becomes a Remove (-) icon when an Address Book entry has been selected as a destination.

Removing Address Book Entries

  1. Use the Remove (-) icon next to the Address Book entry to remove it as a destination, if necessary.

  2. Click OK. The Address Book entries selected appear in the Destinations box.

Editing Recipient properties

You can select any recipient on the Destination box and edit it or change the recipient by using the Recipient Properties dialog box.

To edit the recipient properties

  1. Select a recipient on the Destination box. The Recipient Properties dialog box appears.

  2. Edit the recipient properties as needed; for example, Deliver as option.

  3. Click OK.

To change the recipient

  1. Select the Address Book icon. The Address Book dialog box appears.

  2. Search and select a new recipient by selecting the Add (+) icon.

  3. Click OK.

Note: Only one recipient can be selected when using the Recipient Properties dialog box. Multiple recipients cannot be selected when changing recipients.
