Adding a Fax Sr. Connector

You can add a Fax Sr. connector by using the Server Administrator > Connectors node. There are Fax Sr. connector requirements that you should review and understand before you begin.

To add a Fax Sr. connector

  1. Start the Server Administrator.
    On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  2. On the console, expand the Server Administrator tree.

  3. Right-click Connectors. Select New AccuRoute Server connector Fax Sr. Connector. The Server Address dialog box appears.

  4. Click Next. Alternately, if you want the connector to run on a remote server, click Remote Server and enter the server name. Click Next. The Display Name dialog box appears.

  5. In the Name text box, enter a descriptive name.

  6. Click Next. The Fax Sr. default settings dialog box appears.

  7. Configure the default settings for the Fax Sr. connector. These settings apply when the Fax Sr. server delivers outbound faxes that originate on the AccuRoute Server.

  8. The TCP/IP section displays the port numbers of the AccuRoute Server and the Fax Sr. server. If you need to change the port numbers:

    • In the Geni Port text box, enter the port number of the AccuRoute Server.

    • In the Fax Sr. text box, enter the port number of the Fax Sr. server.

  9. The Fax Sr. Modem Settings section displays the default modem settings for the Fax Sr. connector. To change these settings, do the following:

    • In the Message Timeout text box, enter the number of minutes you want the Fax Sr. server to attempt to deliver a fax that originated on the AccuRoute Server.

    • In the Retry Attempts text box, enter the number of times you want the modem on the Fax Sr. server to attempt to deliver an outbound fax.

    • In the Retry Wait text box enter the number of minutes you want the Fax Sr. server to wait between retry attempts.

  10. Click Next. The Congratulations dialog box appears.

  11. Click Finish. The connector should appear in the Connectors details pane.

Modifying Fax Sr. connector modem settings

You can modify the modem settings for the Fax Sr. connector by using the Server Administrator > Connectors node.

To modify the modem settings for the Fax Sr. connector

  1. Start the Server Administrator.
    On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  2. On the console, expand the Server Administrator tree.

  3. Expand Connectors. The connectors licensed for your environment are listed in the details pane.

  4. Double-click the Fax Sr. connector to open the Properties page.

  5. Click Advanced.

  6. In the TCP/IP ports section, configure the following:

    • In the Geni Port text box, enter the port number of the AccuRoute Server.

    • In the Fax Sr. text box, enter the port number of the Fax Sr. server.
      These two port numbers must be the same in order for the AccuRoute Server and the Fax Sr. server to communicate.

  7. Use the Fax Sr. Modem Settings to configure the following:  

    • In the Message Timeout text box, enter the number of minutes you want the Fax Sr. server to attempt to deliver a fax that originated on the AccuRoute Server.

    • In the Retry Attempts text box, enter the number of times you want the modem on the Fax Sr. server to attempt to deliver an outbound fax.

    • In the etry Wait text box enter a Retry Wait value.

  8. Click OK.
