Adding a Universal Input Connector

You can add a Universal Input connector by using the Server Administrator > Connectors node.

To add a Universal Input connector

Click On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.r.
Right-click Connectors and select New Upland AccuRouteHP Capture and Route Connector > Universal Input. The Server Address dialog box appears.
Click Next. Alternately, if you want the connector to run on a remote server, click Remote Server and enter the server name. Click Next. The Display Name dialog box appears.
Enter a descriptive name and click Next. You are prompted to specify the folder to scan.
Click Browse and select the folder to scan.
Click Next. The connector is configured and added. The Congratulations dialog box appears.
Click Finish. The Universal Input connector is created and appears in the Connector details pane.

Note: You can also add Universal Input connector folders. See instructions below.

Adding Universal Input Connector Folders

After you create the Universal Input connector, you can specify additional folders for the connector.

To add Universal Input connector folders

On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.
On the console, expand the Server Administratortree.
Select Connectors. All connectors in the environment are listed in the details pane.
Double-click the Universal Input connector to open the Properties dialog box.
Click Folders > New. The New Folder dialog box appears.
In the Folder to scan section, click Browse. Navigate to and select the folder of interest.
Optionally, select the Enable Xml Translation check box for this folder and follow the instructions in Enabling Universal Input translation. If you do not enable xml translation, the files you drop in the folder for processing must have a format recognized by the server.
Click OK to save your changes and close the New Folder dialog box.
