Configuring Server Notes Installation Path

If you installed the AccuRoute Server software with an AccuRoute license that did not include a Notes connector, you need to prepare the AccuRoute Server before you add a Notes connector.

Use the following procedure to:

  • Locate the Notes path

  • Add the Notes client installation path to the AccuRoute Fax system path on the AccuRoute Server

Locating the Notes path and copying it to the clipboard

  1. Click Start > Run.

  2. Type regedit and click OK.

  3. Navigate to one of the following keys, depending upon the version of the Notes client:

    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lotus\Notes\5.0
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lotus\Notes\6.0
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lotus\Notes\6.5
  4. Double-click the Path key. The Edit String page opens.

  5. Select the text in the Value data text box and copy it to the clipboard.

Adding the Notes installation path

  1. Log on to the system running the AccuRoute Server.

  2. Right-click My Computer and select Properties from the drop down menu options. The System Properties page opens.

  3. Click Advanced.

  4. Click the Environment Variables option.

  5. In the System variables section, select Path in the Variable list, and click Edit. The Edit System Variable page opens.

  6. In the Variable value text box, position the cursor at the end of the text and type: c:\lotus\notes\

Note: c:\lotus\notes\” should be the path to the Notes client on the computer where you are working. If you installed the Notes client in a different location, specify that path in the text box.

  1. Click OK to close the Edit System Variable page and then click OK to close the Environment Variables page.

  2. Click OK to close the System Properties page.
