Creating Database Connector Routing Rule

You can create an inbound routing rule for a Database connector by using the Server Administrator > Rules node.

To create an inbound routing rule for a Database connector

  1. Start the Server Administrator.
    On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  2. Expand Ruleson the Server Administrator tree.

  3. Right-click Inbound and select New > Rule. The Specify the Criteria for this Rule dialog box appears.

  4. Configure the following:

    • Click Add and from the list on the Add Rule Criteria dialog box, select a criteria and click Next.

    • Configure as necessary and click Add then click Finish. Repeat to configure additional criteria.

    • Click Next. The Specify the Actions to take for this Rule dialog box appears.

  5. Click Add. The Add Rule Action dialog box appears.

  6. Select Route to Connector and click Next. The Route to Connector dialog box appears.

  7. Select the Database connector from the Route to Connector drop-down list, configure the other options as necessary, and click Finish.

  8. Configure other options on this dialog box using the guidelines in Route to connector options.

  9. Click Next. The If any Action(s) fail do the following dialog box appears.

  10. Add the failover actions for this rule and click Next. The Specify a name for this rule dialog box appears.

  11. In the Specify a name for this rule text box, enter a descriptive name for this rule.

  12. Optionally, select the Enable this rule option to enable this routing rule on the server. If at any time you need to disable this rule, clear your selection.

  13. Optionally, select Stop processing other rules so that messages that match this rule for processing are not processed by the subsequent rules on the AccuRoute Server.

  14. Click Finish.

  15. Order the inbound routing rules as needed.
