Creating Inbound and Outbound Faxing Rules

You can create rules for inbound and outbound faxing by using the Server Administrator > Rules node.

For inbound faxing

To allow inbound faxing, you must create a rule for each individual DID and user. For example, if you have 100 DIDs assigned to 100 users, you will need to create 100 rules.

To create a new inbound rule

  1. Start the Server Administrator.
On the Start menu, click Upland AccuRoute > Upland AccuRoute Server Administrator.

  2. On the console, expand the Server Administrator tree and then expand Rules.

  3. Right-click Inbound Faxes and select New > Rule. The Specify the Criteria for this Rule page opens.

    • Click Add.

    • Select DID.

    • Click Next.

    • Select is and enter the DID number.

  4. Click Add and then Finish. The Specify the Criteria for this Rule page opens.

  5. You could add additional criteria. Instead, click Next. The Specify the Actions to take for this Rule page opens.

    • Click Add.

    • Select Route to Connector.

    • Click Next.

    • Select Desktop Client connector from the drop-down list.

    • Select the Destination option and enter the user's Fax Sr. email address.

    • Click Finish.

  6. Click Next twice.

  7. Click Finish.

For outbound faxing

To allow outbound faxing, the Fax. Sr. Client must be installed. In the Fax Sr. Client, go to Tools > Options > Server and change the server name or IP address to connect to the server.
