FaxCenter Inbound Routing Rules

If your company uses FaxCenter, you must have at least one inbound routing rule that determines which messages should be routed to FaxCenter users. When creating the inbound routing rule that specifies FaxCenter as the destination, you can choose whether the messages should be routed to all FaxCenter users or to an individual FaxCenter user. You can create multiple inbound routing rules to route faxes to the FaxCenter.

For example, if you want all faxes that arrive for your company's Vice Presidents to be handled by a certain FaxCenter user, you can create a rule that states "all messages with DID extensions of 1234, 1235, 1236, or 1237 are routed to FaxCenter User A," where 1234, 1235, 1236, and 1237 are the DID extensions of your company's Vice Presidents. You might also want to create a more general rule to have all faxes bound for any salesperson available for all FaxCenter users. The rule you create in this case might be similar to "all messages with DID extensions 2* are routed to FaxCenter," where 2* means that all DID extensions starting with 2 are for sales.

If you do not want to have all inbound faxes routed to FaxCenter, organize the inbound routing rules appropriately so that the rules that are specific about routing to FaxCenter are above the general rules for routing all other inbound faxes.

Note: You can also use FaxCenter to process returned registrations that are associated with secure delivery.
