Routing Rules Criteria List

Administrators can specify destination criteria when creating rules based on the following templates.

  • Route to Connector

  • Route to Embedded Directive Manager

  • Route to Failure

  • Route to Lookup

  • Route to Queue

The list appears when you select a template from the RuleSets > Properties shortcut menu. The next step in the rule creation process is the selection of the criteria from the Destination type list. See Creating Custom Workflows for more information.

The following table describes the Destination type criteria.

inbound

Based on the caller ID associated with an inbound fax.

CSI

inbound

Based on the identity of the fax board channel that received an inbound fax.

DID

inbound

Based on the DID destination for an inbound fax.

DTMF

inbound

Based on the DTMF tones associated with an inbound fax.

Email

inbound, outbound

Based on recipient's e-mail address in an inbound or outbound message.

Embedded Directive

inbound, outbound

Based on the Embedded Directive ID of an inbound or outbound message.

Fax Number

outbound

Based on the destination fax address of an outbound fax.

HP LANFax

inbound, outbound

Based on the LAN fax address of an inbound or outbound fax.

Printer

inbound, outbound

Based on the destination printer (name and UNC path) associated with an inbound or outbound message.

Queue inbound, outbound Based on message delivery to a queue for review and approval before it reaches its final destination.

SAP

inbound, outbound

Based on the SAP address of an inbound or outbound message.

Server to Server Routing

inbound, outbound

Based on the server address of an inbound or outbound fax.

TSI

inbound

Based on the identity of a sender associated with an inbound fax.

UNC

inbound, outbound

Based on UNC-formatted destination for an outbound message.

Note: There are system and user-defined job properties that can be used as criteria when creating or modifying rules. Job properties are located in a Job Property list when the Insert button is selected and are not part of the Destination type list.
