Using Batch Scanning with Xerox

Upland AccuRoute requires a metadata field (also called a document management field in the Xerox documentation). When you add a metadata field to a Xerox network scanning template, you must specify the field name and provide a label for the field. (The label becomes the prompt that the user sees on the Xerox MFD panel.) Additionally, you can specify a default value for a metadata field, but this is optional.
For more information on creating network scanning templates, refer to the documentation for your Xerox MFD.

Tip: Create a Xerox network scan template specifically for batch scanning.

Additional document management fields are required in order to use batch scanning. To use batch routing with the XeroxScan connector, add the following metadata fields to the network scanning template:

Note: prAccuRouteBatchCount is an optional field. If you do not add it to the network scan template, no verification will occur for the job count.

Field Name: prAccuRouteBatchScan

Display Name: <not displayed>

User Editable: No

Default value: 1

Purpose: Allows the user to indicate that the submitted job is a batch.

Field Name: prAccuRouteBatchCount

Display Name: Batch Count

User Editable: Yes

Default value: <blank>

Purpose: Allows the user to specify the number of jobs in the batch.

Note: The Field Name is case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as shown above.
