Creating a DeskSite Scan Reservation

A Scan Reservation is the instruction to submit electronic or hard copy documents to the server for uploading to the WorkSite repository where they are stored in the appropriate location. The Create  Reservation option creates a WorkSite placeholder. When a Personal Distribution is selected from the device, the document scans to that placeholder.

  1. Open iManage DeskSite.

  2. Go to the document library into which you will route your document.

  3. Import a scanned document in one of three ways:

    • In a folder, right-click on a document name. Then, select Import Scanned Document with Copied Profile.

    • Right-click on a folder. Then, select Import Scan.

    • Open the File menu. Then, select Import Scan.

  1. Verify or enter Profile information. Then, click Save. WebApps opens.

  2. Select the Create Reservation option.
    The server creates instructions with destination information from the profile, and displays a message when the scan reservation is created.

  1. You can use the Personal Distributions option on the MFP device display panel to scan your hard copy documents. Or, use WebApps to scan electronic documents and send them to iManage for storage.
