About Lexmark Integration
Upland AccuRoute and Lexmark are partners in providing device users with secure document capture, fax, scan, and delivery capabilities.
Note: Lexmark devices must have a hard drive for this integration. Device users will receive the following error message when selecting the AccuRoute button on a device: "Error, Bad Vlml" if you install the AccuRoute application files and configure a device without a hard drive.
Users will be able to perform the following tasks at supported Lexmark devices.

Note: The availability of these functions is based on your company’s workflows and respective device button configurations.
Before you begin
Administrators must complete the following tasks.

Add a Lexmark Device Group and configure the device buttons in the Server Administrator.
-
Install the Upland AccuRoute ESF Application JAR file at the device.
-
Configure the Upland AccuRoute ESF Application JAR file at the device.
You can add a device group by using Devices on the Server Administrator tree. Adding specific devices to the group is not required for the Lexmark device integration. In addition, the buttons that will appear on the device’s display must be configured in the Server Administrator.
Note: You cannot have devices with different button configurations in the same device group.
To add a Lexmark Device Group

Start the Server Administrator.

Right-click Devices on the Server Administrator tree. The Devices shortcut menu appears.

Select New > Lexmark group. The New Group dialog box appears.

Type a device name in the Name box.
-
Type a description in the Description box.
-
Select a Licensing type on the Licensing drop-down list.
-
Select the Settings tab, specify the Application (SSL) URL and other parameters.
Note: Make a note of the Application (SSL) URL. You will need it for the Upland AccuRoute ESF Application JAR file configuration.

Select the Authentication tab and specify the appropriate parameters for the device.

Select the Buttons tab and add the appropriate buttons needed for the device’s Home screen.
Note: A series of buttons appear on the list as a default set. You can add or remove buttons based on your specific workflows.

Click OK.

Use the Up and Down arrows to move the buttons as you want them to appear on the device’s Home screen.

Click OK.
You can install the Upland AccuRoute ESF Application JAR file after the following steps have been completed.
To install the Upland AccuRoute ESF Application JAR file

Open the device’s EWS (Embedded Web Server) by entering the device’s IP address in your browser’s address bar.

Select Apps on the Select Option pane.

Select Install an App.
-
Go to ..\Program Files (x86)\Upland AccuRoute\DeviceClient\Installation\Lexmark.

Select UplandESFApp.fls.
-
Select Install.

Continue with Configuring Upland AccuRoute ESF Application JAR file.
You can configure the Upland AccuRoute ESF Application JAR file after the following steps have been completed.
To configure the Upland AccuRoute ESF Application JAR file

Open the device’s EWS (Embedded Web Server) by entering the device’s IP address in your browser’s address bar.

Select Apps on the Select Option pane.

Select Upland ESF Application and select Configure.
-
Type the Application (SSL) URL used in the Server Administrator > Lexmark Device Group Properties > Settings dialog box in the Service URL box.

Type the Lexmark device group name in the Group Name box.

Select Apply.
If supported by the device, you may need to move the Upland AccuRoute ESF Application button if it does not appear on the Home screen. The installation appends the button on the last screen of the device's control panel. It may not be visible if you have other buttons on the device.
Note: A maximum of 10 buttons can be displayed on a device's screen. Use the nested buttons option, if you need to display more than 10 buttons.
To move the Upland AccuRoute button, complete the following steps.

Open the device’s EWS (Embedded Web Server) by entering the device’s IP address in your browser’s address bar.

Go to Settings in the Select Option pane.

Select Device. The device settings appear.
-
Select and expand Home Screen Customization.
-
Drag and drop AccuRoute from the Icons on other pages list to the Icons on Page 1 list. The AccuRoute icon appears on the Home screen.
