Customizing WebApps Help Link

The custom Help link feature allows a company to display their own specific Help or instructions, in addition to or instead of the standard WebApps Help. The custom Help link can be configured for the WebApps Client using the Show custom help link option.

Note: The Show custom help link is optional and is not configured by default.

Configuring the Customized Help Link

  1. In the Server Administrator, expand Configuration if necessary.

  2. Select WebApps > Default Profile.The Default Profile Properties dialog box appears.

  3. Clear the Show standard help link check box to hide the standard Help link (Optional).

  4. Select the Show custom help link check box.

  5. Type a valid URL and label in the appropriate boxes.

  6. Select Image as the image type and select the appropriate image.

You can use your own images by selecting Image as the Image type and the appropriate image from the drop-down list. Bootstrap and FontAwesome images are third party icon collections that are pre-configured for you and available for the Show standard help link option. The image URL is placed in a web page's html <img src=> tag. The following image formats are supported: APNG, AVIF, GIF, JPEG, PNG, SVG, WebP. The SVG image format offers auto scaling that adjusts your image quality automatically.

  1. Select OK.

Verifying the Custom Help Link

  1. Open WebApps.

  2. Select the Help icon on the top-right and verify that the custom Help link appears.
