Outlook User Profiles

Upland AccuRoute supports two types of Outlook profiles—local profiles and public folder profiles. You can use local profiles, public folder profiles, or a combination as necessary to suit the needs of your environment.

Local profiles can be created and maintained by individual users. Public folder profiles are managed by a person with administrator privilege. Both types of profiles enable you to create options on the Upland AccuRoute Send Form, such as the list of cover pages and the default settings for the Upland AccuRouteSend Form.

Note: The Outlook user profiles are not applicable to the Upland AccuRoute Send Form if your company uses AccuRoute LE. You can, however, modify some features of the Upland AccuRoute LE Send Form by editing the LFSend.ini file. The Upland AccuRoute LE Send Form is a customized form for Outlook that provides users with fax-specific options that are available only in Upland AccuRoute LE. The Upland AccuRoute LE Send Form is part of Desktop Components, the AccuRoute LE client software.

Configuring Outlook user profiles

When configuring the local or the public folder profiles in Outlook, you can provide lists of fax options from which users can choose when sending faxes. The fax options you can provide are:

  • Cover pages

  • Access codes

  • Billing codes

Additionally, Outlook user profiles define default settings for the options on the Upland AccuRoute Send Form. For example, you could set the default for the fax preview option to always request fax preview. Users can change fax options on a per-fax basis.

Tip: : If you use the Web Client, you can add the URL for the web site to local or public folder profiles. This allows users to access the Web Client from the AccuRoute Send Form.
