Template Manager
Note: This is an On Demand feature. If you would like more information about this feature, contact your account manager.
The template manager can be accessed by going to the 'Templates' tab within a workspace. It will display the available campaign templates within that workspace and is also where new templates can be created, by clicking 'Create Email Template'. Once designed they are available through the Template Selector when creating a campaign.
On this page:
Create Template
To create a template, click the 'Create Template' link, this will open the template creation form.
Template Settings
- Name: The name of the template should be memorable, particularly if the workspace contains a number of different templates, as this is what will be used to identify the template when using the Template Selector.
- Description: This is an optional field that can contain any additional details or information you like.
- Creator: The creator of the template. This will default to your user, but if you're creating a boilerplate for someone else you can change it here.
-
Email Editor Template: Check this if it is specifically designed to work with the email editor.
- Active: As with workspaces you can make a template 'inactive' by unchecking the active box, found in the settings tab. This will also hide the template from the Template Selector.
Content
- HTML Source: Here you can add the coding of your email template; if you have the content already you can simply copy and paste into the source box. After saving you will be able to preview and edit, if you wish to make changes.
Overview
After saving your template the 'Overview' page will be displayed. Here you can see a full page preview and a close-up to check details. The template will now be accessible throughout your workspace.
Should you wish to make changes you can do so through the 'Settings' tab, which will show you back to the 'Create Template' form.
Note: If your template is locked then the Settings tab is not available, this is because it is a template designed by Adestra and is not editable
Template Preview
Clicking the preview button will open the template in your browser, enabling you to see the template in full and print if need be.
Include Inactive
Should you have any inactive templates they can be made visible by checking the 'Include Inactive' box when at the template data viewer.
