OR Element
Use the OR element to select contacts that match any of the criteria defined in multiple input nodes.
Example: you want to find and select all students of chemistry or physics in your database using a pair of query nodes.
Adding an OR element
On the designer tab:
-
Drag the OR icon onto your canvas to create an OR node.
-
Connect the input nodes you want to analyse to the left-hand side of the OR node.
Note: the OR node is not exclusive, i.e. it will select contacts even if they appear in both input nodes, e.g. a student of both physics and chemistry would appear in the results for physics or chemistry.
Editing OR node properties
The properties pane to the right of the canvas changes based on the selected element.
-
Select the OR node to view the node's properties.
-
The name of the node defaults to a combination of the input node names, e.g. Physics or Chemistry. If you want a different name, overwrite the existing name.
Note: if you rename the node and then add another input node, the name does not update to include the added node.
-
The table is automatically calculated when you refresh your audience count based on the table used for your input nodes.
