Boilerplates
Note: This is an On Demand feature. If you would like more information about this feature, contact your account manager.
Boilerplates are sections of customised content that you can apply as standardised footers to your campaigns. Boilerplates can be configured according to your brand guidelines and design style requirements, then saved and reused when needed.
The most common use of boilerplates is to include your own unsubscribe information in your campaigns, which can replace the standard, automated unsubscribe text and Adestra logo if you wish.

Applying a Boilerplate
Boilerplates are applied on the Campaign Options page in the Content workspace.
Once the Boilerplate is selected, it will be added to the bottom of the email, and you will be able to see this in the content preview window of the campaign overview.
If you require further help creating boilerplates, contact Adestra Customer Support (adestra-support@uplandsoftware.com). For more information on our design services, contact your account manager.
Creating a Boilerplate
To create a boilerplate, enter the Workspace level, and click the Create Boilerplate button.
The boilerplate creation form appears. Enter the information as explained below.
Name
The name of the boilerplate should be memorable, particularly if the workspace contains a number of different boilerplates, as this is what will be used to identify the boilerplate in the Campaign Options.
Description
This is an optional field that can contain any additional details or information you like.
Owner
The owner of the boilerplate. This will default to your user, but if you're creating a boilerplate for someone else you can change it here.
Boilerplate Parts
You can enter HTML and Text parts of the boilerplate directly in the source boxes; you may have the content already, in which case you can simply copy and paste into the source boxes.
If you need to make changes, you will be able to preview and edit the content after saving.
Click 'Save' and the new boilerplate will be saved in the boilerplate list.
Managing Boilerplates
Boilerplates are saved at Workspace level and then applied within the Campaign Options of the relevant campaign. To manage your bolierplates, you can access the boilerplates interface from within a workspace; the 'Boilerplates' tab will be available in the page tab bar at the top of the screen.
Editing Boilerplates
You can click on an individual boilerplate to view it. The Content Preview section of the page allows you to view both the HTML and Text versions of the boilerplate.
You can make changes to the boilerplate via the Settings tab.
Note: If you make changes to a boilerplate that is applied to unlaunched campaigns, the changes will be reflected in those campaigns.
To delete the boilerplate, click the 'Delete Boilerplate' link.
FAQ
In the Text part of my campaign, the boilerplate has become attached directly to the end of my content. How do I stop this?
This is easy to fix; it simply requires an additional line to be inserted at the end of your text content to ensure spacing between your content and the boilerplate.
