Create Regular Unsub List

Click 'Create Unsub List' link. You will be taken to the creation form.

Fill in the section of the form as follows:

  • Unsub List Name: The name of the unsub list should be memorable, particularly if the workspace contains a number of different unsub lists, as this is what will be used to identify the unsub list in the Campaign Options.
  • Description: This is an optional field that can contain any additional details or information you like.
  • Owner: The owner of the unsub list will default to your user, but if you're creating an unsub list for someone else you can change it here.
  • Workspace: The workspace this unsub list is available in will default to the workspace you have created the unsub list in, however you can change this using the drop-down menu to select a different workspace. You also have the option in the drop-down menu to make the unsub list available across all workspaces by selecting [All Workspaces].

Click 'Save' to create the unsub list, and you will be directed to the unsub list overview.

Campaigns Tab

Settings Tab

Here, you can change the basic information of your unsub list. This will display the same form you used to create the unsub list.

Applying Unsub Lists

Unsub lists can be applied as either the Unsubscribe list that contacts are added to from the email link, or as a suppression list—to prevent anyone on it from receiving the campaign in the first place.

When these unsub lists are applied, they become visible in the Campaigns tab.

Unsub

When in the Campaign Options area of Adestra, you can select an unsub list from the available options.

Suppression

The selected unsub list will automatically be checked as a suppression list too, but you can add as many as you like.

Example Unsub List Management

A publishing house allocates separate workspaces to its different divisions.

An unsub list is created for each specific workspace (e.g. Global MarComms Unsub, Dictionaries Unsub, Non-Fiction Unsub, Fiction Unsub etc.), as well as a global unsubscribe.

This means a contact can unsubscribe from individual newsletters, without being removed from other divisional campaigns. If a contact unsubscribes from all divisional campaigns, they can still receive the global communication campaigns.
