App passwords
An app password is a 20-digit, randomly generated, API-only password for a user that developers can use to access the application.
An API token grants specific access to the application and is used for MCP integration.
To manage app passwords and API tokens, in the Navigation Menu, click Settings, then click App Passwords
From the App Passwords page, you can:
Delete an app password or API token
Add a new app password

Click App Passwords..., then select New....

In the Description field, enter a description for the app password.

Click Create.
The app password is generated and displayed. Click Copy to Clipboard to copy the app password.
Caution: Once you click Close, you will not be able to see the app password again. Copy it now and store it securely. If you lose it, you will need to generate a new password.

Click Close.
Create an API token

Click App Passwords..., then select Create API Token.

In the Name field, enter a name for the API token.

Click Create.
The API token is generated and displayed. Click Copy to Clipboard to copy the API token password.
Caution: Once you click Close, you will not be able to see the API token again. Copy it now and store it securely. If you lose it, you will need to generate a new token.

Click Close.
Delete an app password or API token

Perform one of the following:

Right-click anywhere in the app password or API token row or click the three dots next to the app password or API token you want to delete, then select Delete from the drop-down menu.

Or, select the check box next to one or multiple app passwords and/or API tokens, then click Delete.

Click Delete to confirm the deletion.
