Connections
The Connections page allows you to connect to your content sources by adding connections to BA Insight connectors and perform various actions on the connections that you have already configured. When you define a connection, you include identifying information, such as:
- Servers
- User Accounts and Credentials
- Database information (for database connectors)
Connections and Content Sources can also be imported and exported. The following connection types are available in the Connectivity Hub:
- SQL connection
- Web service connection

View the configured connections in the connections dashboard | The connections dashboard displays all of the connections that you have already configured. The dashboard also displays various information about the content source including the title, type, and security master. Additionally, you can perform actions on the connection including editing or deleting your connection, cloning your connection, creating a task job, and specifying your security mappings. |
Connect to your source system |
Set up a new connection to a web service and specify the connection info for your connection. By doing so, you will establish a connection to your source system to allow content to be indexed. Once you have set up your connection, you can further enhance your it in the following ways: |

Securely Map Users/Groups to Connectivity Hub | Specify your security mapping information to recreate the security from your content source system to Active Directory (AD) and Connectivity Hub. Additionally, you can override user and group loading through scripting to help you map your source system users and groups to the target directory if your source system manages its own users and groups. |
